Now a computer-to-plate system that is not aimed at high end commercial printers! More and more digital files are coming into print shops, small offset printers, in-plant and others. This compact platesetter is the affordable repro solution for printers with a PC or Mac. Kimosetter 410 is an upgraded model of the Kimosetter 340 which was first introduced in 2000 for A3 portrait size presses.
Now Kimosetter 410 covers 52cm size machines, commonly known as GTO size.

Enhanced RIP |

| An Adobe PostScript 3 software RIP CD for both Windows and Macintosh is included in the package. The hardware key (dongle) is not necessary; its function is embedded in the machine. For Mac OS X users, the CD contains an updater program that enables the RIP to run in Classic mode on OS X. |

Kimoplate e2 is a non-sensitized polyester printing plate from Kimoto, a world leader in coating technology. It has been developed to be imaged exclusively on the Kimosetter. The product concept is economy (saving cost, improving profit) and ecology (non-chemical, minimizing waste).
The two e’s come from the initials of these key concepts.

Chemical free polyester plate |

| Kimoplate e2 requires no special chemicals, etch
or fountain solution and does not require post fusing. The plate
is ready straight from the Kimosetter 410. This environmentally
friendly approach enables operators or designers to work in studio conditions. |

Excellent stability |
|
|
The polyester base is 0.125mm (0.005in) thick,
the same as most pre-sensitized metal plates, and is more stable
than 0.100mm (0.004in) laser plates.
Its excellent dimensional stability ensures accurate image size
and good registration of spot color work. |

Fast recovery |
|
|
| When restarting after a stop, just wipe the plate
surface with clean water or fountain solution; Kimoplate e2 recovers very quickly. |

Fountain solution and inks |
|
|
| Kimoplate e2 is compatible with most fountain solutions
(including Silver Master and electrostatic) and will run with
most inks (oil base, rubber base and soy base). |
