Kimoto Company Ltd, in conjunction with Shinano Kenshi, is pleased to announce the worldwide release of the Kimosetter 525 CtP device.
The Kimosetter 525 is the result of a ground up design and development project between Kimoto and Shinano Kenshi. Shinano Kenshi will now manufacture the Kimosetter 525 for Kimoto. The worldwide release follows an exhaustive beta testing program carried out in the USA, Germany and Australia.
The Kimosetter 525 is the third generation of products in the Kimosetter line from Kimoto. The Kimosetter 525 retains the core concepts of non-chemical production, compact size, environmentally friendly and true one step to press.
Kimoto and its worldwide network of distributors and resellers are now taking orders for the Kimosetter 525 for delivery starting from late this month.
The features of the Kimosetter 525 include:
Plate sizes up to 525 x 459mm (18.07" x 20.67"), |
Suitable for short run, 2 -up, printing with a print run length of 20,000+, |
UV ink jet imaging system for accurate and robust plate images, |
Production of AM screens up to 155lpi and FM screening, |
Suitable for an office environment due to the compact size and no fumes, |
Dedicated software RIP, |
Auto feed of up to 20 polyester Ze plates. |
| |
The printing plate specifically manufactured for the Kimosetter 525 is the Kimoplate Ze. Kimoplate Ze is a newly developed, non-sensitized polyester plate, to be imaged exclusively on the Kimosetter 525. It provides the same ease of use and fast make-readies as the Kimoplate e2 but is designed to create the best image using UV cationic ink.
A metal plate for imaging on the Kimosetter 525 is also under development and will be released in the New Year.
The automatic feeder featured on the Kimosetter 525 negates the need to employ a dedicated plate making person. The graphic designer can now produce press ready plates as easy as printing to an office printer.
